Frequently asked questions about silver rings
What is the difference between real silver and sterling silver?
Sterling silver is the name given to the alloy that real silver is made of. Real silver is stamped with the number 925, which means that 92.5% is pure silver, the remaining percentage is other metals that have been added to make the silver hard and durable. Read more about 925 silver in Facts about 925 silver.
How do you know if a ring is real silver?
Genuine silver rings are stamped with the number 925. The stamp is usually located on the inside of the ring.
Why is my silver ring turning black?
If the ring is made of genuine silver, 925 silver, it may be because the ring has started to oxidize. Silver is a natural precious metal that oxidizes due to humidity, contact with chemical liquids or the skin's own pH value. It is especially common for a silver ring to turn black if the ring has not been worn for a long time. A genuine silver ring can be polished! Read more in Care instructions for silver jewelry .
How do I best store my silver rings?
Silver rings should preferably be stored in an airtight box, bag or jewelry box. This will prevent the rings from starting to oxidize. Separate the rings so that they do not scratch each other.

Rings from Mila Silver are made in sizes 48-61 for women.

Genuine silver rings should be worn in everyday life
Did you know that silver is the most suitable precious metal for everyday use? When you use your silver rings in everyday life, they stay white and beautiful.
If your ring has been lying around for a while and has started to oxidize, you can clean the silver ring with a polishing cloth, polishing agent or lukewarm water and a little dishwashing liquid.
Silver and other precious metals get scratches and marks over time. Marks that become part of your ring and your history. If you want to give your beloved silver ring a fresh start - take it to a professional workshop for polishing and grinding.

Tips and advice when buying silver rings
Besides size and design, there are a few other things to consider when choosing a new silver ring. Here are our best tips and advice!
When should you use the ring?
If you are looking for a ring to wear in everyday life, the ring should be comfortable and perhaps not too big. For a party or sometimes (when the mood is at its best) a large silver ring may be the best choice. Think about when you want to use your rings to sift through the assortment and find your perfect silver ring.
Should you wear the ring with other rings you have?
One trick to renew the feel of your regular rings is to add a new ring. It's nice if the rings complement each other and aren't too similar. If you stick to only silver rings, the style will be uniform regardless of the design.
Should you wear multiple silver rings on the same finger?
The rings should have the same thickness/height. The width can be different but make sure the rings end up at the same level. Feel free to break up the combination with silver rings that have different surfaces or details. See our range of ring stacks for inspiration.
