ABOUT OUR DIAMONDS
LAB GROWN DIAMONDS
Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds that are produced in an ethical and sustainable way.
A lab-grown diamond is produced by recreating the natural formation of a diamond (a natural diamond is created over millions of years, read more below).
A fragment of a diamond is used which is then subjected to pressure and high heat. This process is significantly shorter (weeks) and can be done anywhere in the world with few people involved.
The result is a traceable and conflict-free diamond.
A lab-grown diamond has the same physical, chemical and optical character as a natural diamond. A lab-grown diamond is difficult to distinguish from a natural diamond.
The appearance, luster and quality are identical.
Lab-grown diamonds are produced through technology in an ethical, sustainable and traceable manner.
Notice. The Swede Erik Lundblad was the first in the world to produce the first lab-grown diamond in 1953.
CONFLICT-FREE NATURAL DIAMONDS
The natural diamonds used in our diamond rings are conflict-free, approved and certified. The diamonds are approved according to EU regulations 2368-2002.
We guarantee that our stones are not so-called conflict diamonds according to the Kimberley Process.
HOW NATURAL DIAMONDS ARE FORMED
Natural diamonds are formed deep in the bedrock (160-200 km below the earth's surface) by compressing coal under high pressure and high heat. This process takes many millions of years.
The lava flow slowly pushes the diamond up towards the earth's surface.
The diamonds are dug up in countries such as Botswana, Canada and Russia and then cut and polished in Antwerp or India.
BLACK DIAMONDS
Black diamonds are the most popular and growing colored diamond.
Are black diamonds real?
Yes. There are natural black diamonds (extremely rare and precious) and treated black diamonds. These diamonds are natural diamonds that are irradiated to get their dark color.
Natural diamonds that have many inclusions and are gray in color are often chosen for treatment.
Treated black diamonds are most common and are used in Mila Silver's black diamond rings Black Diamond Eternity ring and Minou Black Diamond ring .
Even our diamond jewelry with black diamonds is certified and conflict-free and approved according to EU regulations 2368-2002.

CLEANING & CARE ADVICE DIAMOND RINGS
CLEANING & CARE ADVICE DIAMOND RINGS
If you have made an investment and bought a diamond ring, you want it to stay beautiful for as long as possible. By looking after your diamond ring regularly, it will last longer.
CLEAN YOUR DIAMOND RING AT HOME
Clean the diamond ring easily at home with lukewarm water and a few drops of washing-up liquid.
Skin deposits, grease and dirt dissolve and the diamond becomes clean. You can sometimes gently clean around the diamonds with a soft toothbrush.
If the silver on the diamond ring needs to be polished, do it in the same way as with a regular silver ring - use a polishing cloth intended for silver jewellery.
PROFESSIONAL CLEANING
Feel free to take your diamond ring to a jeweler or goldsmith for professional cleaning at least once a year. An experienced professional knows how to clean the diamonds in the best way and can also detect if a setting has been affected by, for example, an impact or tougher everyday use.
AVOID CONTACT WITH STRONG AGENTS & BATHS
A diamond ring should not come into contact with skin creams, make-up, soap, perfume, cleaning products or other strong liquids. Greasy creams and make-up form a film over the diamond and chemical liquids damage your diamond ring.
Never swim with your diamond ring in a pool or in the sea.
THEN YOU SHOULD TAKE OFF YOUR DIAMOND RING
Get in the habit of taking off your diamond ring when doing more strenuous tasks such as exercising, washing dishes, cooking and gardening. The silver in the ring gets unnecessary scratches and you can easily bump into the diamond or get stuck with the setting's claws.
Also take off your diamond ring when showering or bathing.
