About the Diamonds
FACTS ABOUT LAB-GROWN DIAMONDS
Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds produced in an ethical and sustainable manner.
A lab-grown diamond is created by replicating the natural process of diamond formation. A fragment of a diamond is used and subjected to pressure and high heat. This process is significantly shorter (weeks) and can be done anywhere in the world with only a few people involved. The result is a traceable and conflict-free diamond.
A lab-grown diamond possesses the same physical, chemical, and optical properties as a natural diamond. The appearance, brilliance, and quality are identical.
Note: The Swede Erik Lundblad was the first in the world to produce the first lab-grown diamond in 1953.
CONFLICT-FREE NATURAL DIAMONDS
The diamonds in Mila Silver's diamond rings are conflict-free, approved, and certified. The diamonds are compliant with EU regulation 2368-2002. We guarantee that our stones are not so-called conflict diamonds according to the Kimberley Process. Our manufacturer uses suppliers who operate in accordance with this process—a regulatory system for international trade in rough diamonds.
BLACK DIAMONDS
Even our black diamonds are conflict-free, approved, and certified. The diamonds are compliant with EU regulation 2368-2002.
We use treated black diamonds. This is the most common type of black diamond in jewelry. Naturally black diamonds are extremely rare and precious. Treated black diamonds acquire their color through radiation treatment of natural diamonds. Often, natural diamonds with many inclusions and a grayish hue are chosen before the treatment.
Black diamonds are said to symbolize inner strength, courage, and justice.

Size guide rings
How to find out your ring size
- Measure an existing ring you have at home
If you have a ring that fits, measure it with a ruler or measuring tape.
Measure it internal diameter in mm, do not include the metal.
Compare the measurement you receive with the size chart above.
- Measure the circumference of your finger
Take a piece of string or thread and measure the circumference around your finger. Where the ends meet, cut off and then measure the length of the string. The measurement you get in mm is the circumference.
Compare this number with the size chart above.
Remember that the string should sit comfortably around the finger, not too tight and not too loose.
- Buy a ring gauge
Order a ring gauge that is easy to use. Wrap the band around the finger you want to wear the new ring. Read the size in the small magnifying glass.
- Order home several sizes
If you are still unsure of your size, order a few different sizes home and try them on.
Return with the prepaid return shipping slip. Choose Klarna invoice and you won't have to pay for the rings in advance.
For rings with diamonds, we recommend smooth silver rings that have the same dimensions as the diamond rings. Order at home and try out the right size. Then order the diamond ring and possible engraving.
